festive front porch!

i like to make things look pretty :)

i like fixin' hair,
i like putting outfits together,
i like to artfully arrange my food,
and i looovvee to decorate!

my sweet momma told me to do a seasonal project for my front porch.

since it's fall ( the BEST season ) ...
i dressed up my front porch with some festive decor.

for starters, i made my own wreath with
supplies from hobby lobby.

i bought a $10 lantern from marshall's & filled it with some
small pumpkins from ross & a few pine cones.

THEN i bought a $3 basket from hobby lobby
turned it upside down,
and it was the perfect little stand for my
lantern & some gourds :)

i just love to look at my front porch when i'm
pulling in & out of my driveway.

so thankful to my God for
this beautiful season.

a few fall outfits

time has just flown by.

i can't believe i haven't posted since my birthday!

since then ... i have gone on vacation, had tons of photography shoots, sold a house, and had a lovely visit from a good friend.

i'm feeling the need to throw a few outfits in to one post.

(forgive the iphone quality on some of them)

this outfit was perfect for happy hour drinks with some friends.
black top: marshalls
skinnies: marshalls
wedges: ross
purse: tjmaxx
finished the outfit off with wand curls & gold jewelry!

coral sweater & boots!
sweater: forever 21

again, i went with gold jewelry and a coral bubble necklace!

and that's me in a nutshell.

THIS outfit i loved!
(side note: rock ledge ranch is just beautiful in the fall)
chambray shirt: forever 21
black skinnies: marshalls
boots: old navy
purse: ross

boots & plaid. love love love.

plaid shirt: marshalls

eye make up with this outfit:

thin, liquid black liner on only the top lid

i love the more natural looks :)

THANK YOU, GOD, FOR THIS SEASON!

this picture is a perfect depiction of fall to me!

hazy sunny color, yellow leaves, scarves, boots ... ahhh :)

and, of course, gold jewelry

this post was all over the place. hopefully it won't be another month and a half between posts!

life is crazy, but so so good.

game day!

i have always been AND always will be
a major denver broncos fan.

i love that team.

i've always had some sort of broncos apparel that was perfect for game days ... jerseys,
t shirts, sweat pants. but i've never had a broncos shirt that i just love to wear on an everyday basis.

BUT THEN ... i found this little gem at old navy. this is a
t shirt that i would wear any day! i'm glad i found this right before the season opener
 - perfect timing.

i got it on sale for $15.00 which is much more affordable than a manning jersey ;)

paired with some jessica simpson jeans from marshall's and some $12 tennis shoes from target

love.

GO BRONCOS!

little black dress

i know it's been a few days since i've posted - last week was crazy! working three jobs is keeping me busy -
the best kind of busy :)

my sister, kortney, and i had some fun with this photo shoot. i love this little black, peplum dress of mine. i originally bought this dress for a wedding, but it really is perfect for any
"little black dress" occasion.

once again, this was a find at marshalls - $20.00!
and like i have previously mentioned, i love black & gold together. my gold jewelry is from old navy & forever 21. i found my gold heels at kohls right around new years eve. these definitely aren't shoes to wear on a daily basis, but for the right occasion ... they're perfect

(and, just for the record, it is NOT very easy to hold a "foot pop" in these heels)

;)

coral chevron

CHEVRON.

anyone who knows me well, knows that i'm obsessed with chevron. shirts, dresses, decor in my house ...
i LOVE it.

(for the record ... i buy what i love. not necessarily what's MOST in style at the time)

one of the colors that i've really been in to this summer is coral. i think it's lovely. i just about had a heart attack when i found this coral, chevron shirt. i had to have it :)

i paired it with some skinny jeans rolled up once at the bottom and a white tank top underneath.

as far as the shopping part goes ...

shirt: marshalls
skinnies: ross
tank top: rue 21
flip flops: charlotte russe
jewelry: forever 21 and old navy

i think you will start to see a trend of my favorite stores ...
 ;)

my favorite

fall is my favorite season. summer is a close second, but nothing beats fall in colorado
the cool, cloudy days ... boots, scarves, and sweaters ... chili & cinnamon rolls at my moms house ... golden leaves all over the place ... sunflowers, pumpkins, & corn stalks ...
ahh, i absolutely love fall.

this outfit is part of my transition to fall. still wearing flip flops, still wearing a tank top ... but i'm wearing my dark skinnies & my chambray shirt to warm things up just a little.

keeping with my "simple" trend, a bun for my hair & thin liner for my makeup.

dark skinnies: ross
white tank top: rue 21
chambray shirt: forever 21
flip flops: charlotte russe
earrings: forever 21

transition time

i can't believe that the summer is almost over!
this year has completely flown by.
since we're at the end of august, i feel like it's about time to start thinking about fall attire. but, before we hop in to boots & sweaters ... a few more summery outfits :)

again, these are simple. nothing wild, but still fun. for both of these outfits, the tops are from
forever 21 & the shorts are from old navy.

my pink outfit cost me a total of $6.00! $4.00 top & $2.00 shorts - can't beat that!

my second outfit (chambray & white) cost a little more .. $20.00 for the shirt, but still $2.00 for the shorts.

as much as i love the summer outfits ... shorts, tank tops, flip flops ... THIS girl is ready for fall :)

happy closing times

another successful closing in the books!

this happy family of 5 has just closed on their first home - how exciting! it's hard to write down all of the emotions that come with buying your first home, but the excitement at the end makes the whole process worth it!

all of the time spent researching, touring homes, deciding which one is "THE" one, crunching numbers, putting in offers, waiting for responses ... it finally pays off. after you sit down at that closing table and sign the gigantic stack of papers,
it's finally yours :)

to me, sliding that key across the closing table is like shooting confetti into the room ... celebration time!

one of the very best parts of real estate is being able to see the happiness after closing. i am so blessed to be a part of this business. congratulations to the Moore family!

simple b&w

i would describe my style as pretty simple. i don't typically wear a ton of flashy jewelry or mix wild colors together ... i like to stay inside my "fashion comfort zone".

i keep it simple.

this outfit is black & white with just a touch of gold.
(i LOVE black & gold together)

i think i could wear just about anything with my black skinnies - one of my favorite pieces of clothing. and this top ... i would wear it every day if people wouldn't judge me ;) it's light and comfortable and i love love love the detail at the top.

AGAIN, budget shopping ...

black skinnies: marshalls
white top: marshalls
bandeau: victoria's secret
black sandals: target
gold earrings: forever 21
black knot bracelet: groopdealz

my teal deal

i have expensive taste. unfortunately, my
current budget doesn't support such a lifestyle.
and because of this ... i shop for bargains!

the good news is: i can throw together some
cute outfits that don't
completely break the bank. for example ...
this teal/green dress of mine.

i am in LOVE with this dress. the color,
the length, the material ..
it's a great dress & this outfit was less than $20.00.

i just love finding good deals :)

dress: sam's club for under $10.00
jewelry: old navy for under $10.00

something different

in high school i would've done absolutely anything to avoid writing. and now ... i can't stop myself! i've come to realize how powerful writing can be. when i write things down, i remember them. when i make a check list, i feel more accomplished. when i write out my prayers, i stay focused. when i make pros/cons lists, i make better decisions. why am i just now discovering this?!

since i have this new fascination with writing, why wouldn't i start a blog? i see this as my public journal. i plan to write about my life as a 22 year old - being a realtor, putting together outfits, making memories, and anything else that is blog-worthy :)

i am especially excited for the fashion part of this blog. not only will it serve as a tool to remind myself of what i have in my own closet, but hopefully it can be some inspiration for others.

enjoy, my friends <3
